In 2006, Brian teamed up with several local musicians to form the high energy country group The Usual Suspects. This joining has provided Brian and The Usual Suspects the opportunity to entertain fans across the state and the region performing his original country as well as covering current country hits. Since playing the local bar scene in the beginning of 2007, the group has quickly been booked and able to perform at several larger venues and festivals throughout the state. In July 2007, the group played the Common Ground Music Festival warming up the crowd for Montgomery Gentry, a booking not normally given to a first-year band.
Brian Lorente and The Usual Suspects brings a tremendous amount of energy, drive and experience to every venue they play. They love their fans and they love country music, which makes them the perfect group to entertain any fun loving crowd that enjoys good music.
In 2002 Lorente won the Entertainer of the Year award from the Mission of Hope Cancer fund karaoke contest, and that win resulted in his first trip to Nashville, Tennessee. The trip inspired him to push forward with his want and dream of writing and performing his style of country music. Following the trip, Lorente began writing and recording his original music, and in August of 2003 he released his first CD titled Six Strings and a Dream.
Since the release Lorente has been performing around the state in solo gigs and in benefit concerts for the Mission of Hope Cancer Fund. He is looking forward to the release of his second CD, an acoustic version of new songs entitled Out with the Boys
